Arkansas Hiking...

We woke up on Black Friday and were thrilled to be getting ready for a hike instead of out shopping.  We got ready and stopped the Ozark Cafe for breakfast.  After filling our tummies, we made the drive to the trail head of the Cecil Cove Loop

This is a 7.4 mile trail complete with old church ruins and a historic cemetery.  Unfortunately for us, the trail is not perfectly marked and with all the leaves it was difficult to know where the trail was to find the cemetery and other ruins.  We still had a great hike and enjoyed getting to see the scenery of the Ozarks.

Ken and Kya enjoying the hike.  This picture of them absolutely melts my heart.

Stopping to enjoy a glass of wine.  I was surprised by how warm it got while we were hiking.  It is hard to believe it was November!

As I mentioned above, the sun was shining and it was quite warm.  On our hike back we found a nice little spot in the shade and stopped to relax and finish off our bottle of wine.

Such a great day for a hike!

After our hike we ventured back to Jasper to find something for lunch.  We ended back at the Ozark Cafe and I was super excited to have myself a milk shake.

The look of happiness.  It was delicious!

We ended the day with a wild game of Trivial Pursuit and early to bed.  We had such a great time really relaxing at the cabin.

The next morning we woke up and drove around to see the Elk that gather in a field near Ponca.

Stopping at White River Brewing Company on the way home.

We stopped at the Osceola Cheese Company on the way home hoping to get some cheese.  Sadly, this place was absolutely insane and while I love me some cheese, I am not willing to fight the masses for a sample or to buy some.  So, I left empty handed and annoyed.  Tis the season!
