Snow Days...

Unless you are buried under a rock, you probably heard about the winter storm that has hit the Midwest.

Just a light dusting.

Never fear, we had a wonderful snow day yesterday and part of the day today.  How do we celebrate a snow day?

With hot chocolate of course!  This is round one.

Kya says that a snow day is not complete without a nap.  What a horrible life this husky leads.

After cocoa and a nap, we decided that someone should venture out into the snow.

This happened.  Angel was pissed.  As in so pissed that she is probably plotting when and how to trip me walking down the stairs.

Kya was thrilled that her sister was outside.  Ken and I were laughing hysterically.

This picture cracks me up.

After Angel's adventure in the snow, we came in for another round of cocoa.

Round two

Of course it was all fun until the driveway needed to be shoveled.

We ended up with around 10 inches

Ken and I both worked for a few hours today and then it was time for a little fun in the backyard.

Ken and Kya had so much fun playing around

She absolutely loves the snow

She ran her little heart out while her daddy tossed snow at her.

A tender father/daughter moment

Which was quickly ruined by Ken's shenanigans

We finished our night at Martin City Brewing Company enjoying a Boulevard Chocolate Ale.

Back to the real world tomorrow.
