Black Friday...

For the second year in a row, we spent our Black Friday hiking with a husky instead of shopping in stores.  Spending time on the trails with our little family is the perfect thing to do on a holiday weekend.

We drove to Lawrence bright and early to start our six mile hike.  Kya was super excited to get to walk of the turkey she had the day before.

The look of pure happiness

We had plans to build a fire and enjoy some wine, but the wind was a little too strong so we skipped the fire.

The weather was unseasonably warm for the day after Thanksgiving.  It was nice to not have to be too bundled up.  After our hike, we drove into downtown and enjoyed lunch and a drink before driving home and finishing the night on the couch.

Black Friday, 2018

Spending Black Friday hiking is so much better than spending it in the stores and fighting crowds to buy people things that they do not need.  I loved this time with my family!
